The project on women’s body image, This Is My Body, was done with utmost respect, admiration and gratitude to the subjects and models I photographed, and to bring awareness to a serious problem which still affects a large segment of the population. This was not an easy project to undertake, but looking back on it now, I am proud of the accomplishment. All the subjects I photographed were asked to describe in writing how they felt about their bodies. Their words, along with one portrait for each, were exhibited twice in Toronto in 2007 and 2008 at Gallery 1313 and IndexG Gallery.
